What is the Trackbot?

The Trackbot material handling system is a track based multiple robot head material handling device designed to transport items into cartons, boxes, or conveyors. Its design allows for rapid transfer motion by creating wave after wave of robot heads (Bots) performing the needed operations. The closed loop track provides a return path that does not require the time lost during the normal return stroke of dedicated machines or standard industrial robots. Cycle times can therefore be improved at a lower overall system speed compared to these other machines or robots.

The Trackbot consists of a track and a continuously moving drive chain. Each Bot head independently uses the chain for moving or stopping. Each head has a suction cup to lift a pouch.
