First application: Trackbottm Pouch Singulation Machine
Distributed Robotics LLC (DRLLC) has collaborated with Cambridge Valley Machining Inc www.cvmusa.com to manufacture this new technology machine. For the first application, the Trackbot (US Patent 6688451) will singulate pouches from bulk. It can either take filled pouches and singulate them so as to be loaded onto a flighted conveyor or directly placed into a box, or it can take empty Stand Up Pouches (SUP's) so as to be filled by filling machines.
The machine shown at PackExpo 2000 handled both filled pouches and empty SUP’s. One side of the machine took filled pouches from bulk and singulated them, placing them on a conveyor. The other side of the machine took empty SUP’s from bulk and singulated them, placing them on a conveyor. The output conveyor of both sides would be the input for the next step in a normal manufacturing process.
